Staff Appreciation Week at DCES.  

Monday, April 19th-Friday, April 23rd

• Monday - Family Favorite Potluck lunch for teachers and staff.  To send in an item, homemade or store bought, click here https://www.signupgenius.com/go/8050E4AACA92AA1FA7-dces1.  Please label your homemade dishes and any containers that you would like returned to you!!!
  
  

• Tuesday - The students will make cards, wear their teachers fav colors and/or bring in items from their teacher and adopted staff members favorites list on the PTA website. Items can be sent in with your student or dropped off in car line from 9:30-10:30 am and 12-1pm. PLEASE make sure they are clearly labeled with staff name!!!!
  
  

• Wednesday - The PTA will provide a snack cart for teachers and staff, and place treats in their mailboxes. 
  
  

• Thursday - Gift card day. Students can send in gift cards for their teacher and adopted staff members.  The PTA will also supply every teacher and staff member a Target gift card. Teacher and staff preferred gift cards can be found on the PTA website.  Items can be sent in with your student or dropped off in car line from 9:30-10:30 am and 12-1pm.  PLEASE make sure they are clearly labeled with staff name!!!!
  
  

• Friday - DCES staff will be treated to a catered lunch courtesy of the PTA 

ADOPTED STAFF PERSON

As mentioned above, each classroom has an adopted staff member.  This is to ensure that every member of the Daves Creek team is recognized.  No student teachers are adopted but parents can include them if desired. LINK TO ADOPTED STAFF

As you can see, there are only three days that ask parents/students to send items for their teacher and adopted staff member: cards/favorite items day, potluck lunch day, and gift card day.  

• The potluck lunch day is a fun opportunity for parents to prepare and send in one of their family favorite dishes.  They can sign up using this link: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/8050E4AACA92AA1FA7-dces1 Items can be dropped off in car line from 7:50 to 9:30 am.  
  
  

• For cards and favorite items day, please encourage the students in your class to create and send in a card for their teacher and adopted staff member.  For the favorite item, you can direct your class to their teacher and adopted staff member's favorites pages located on the PTA website (LINK TO STAFF FAVORITES ) and send in items on their own, OR you can opt to collect money on their behalf and send in an item from the class.  Please note that if you collect money, it should be noted that the item will be from the entire class, and not solely from the students that contributed money. Instructions for virtual drop off - Parents can drop off LABELED items in car line from 9:30-10:30 am and 12-1 pm on this day
  
  

• For gift card day, you can direct parents to the teacher and staff's favorites lists on the PTA website to purchase on their own, OR you can collect money to purchase a gift card for your teacher and adopted staff member from the class.  Again, if you collect on behalf of the class, please let parents know that the gift card will be from the entire class, and not just the parents that contribute.
